ObjectiveAssume responsibility and accountability in professional practice. Nursing and Accountability Accountability is a key theme in the day-to-day role of any nurse. Accountability encompasses responsibility. To be accountable is one way to be responsible, and to be responsible is to be accountable. I have already had some responsibility placed on me during my clinical rotation in Nursing Competencies I. Some of the tasks I was assigned were to make beds, dress and bathe residents, and to assist them with eating. I behaved in a responsible manner by completing all the tasks assigned to me. If I had made an error or purposefully neglected one of my tasks, I would have been held accountable for my actions. I look forward to being trusted with more demanding tasks in the future so that I can display how responsible I am. |
ClassesI have also been held accountable for my individual and group work at PLU. I believe that every student should know what accountability is. This is because they should know that if you don't put in the effort you are held accountable by the grade you receive. |
