Band Guide

Welcome to my digital portfolio. As a student at Pacific Lutheran University, I was taught to develop and master a set of individual learning objectives (ILO's) to help build my skills as a student, professional and human being. These ILO's consist of valuing, critical/reflective thinking, expression, interaction and multiple frameworks. Adding to these learning objectives was the mission statement of the university, which all faculty and students work toward to achieve. This portfolio outlines a metaphor that my time at the university was starting a band. On this website, each ILO and the mission statement are explained within the context of how they connect to different instruments that make up a band and how once each instrument in learned, they can be put together to create substantial works of art and final products. My artifacts consist of written documents, audio productions and videos that have been published and displayed for various purposes and are found in the artifacts link.

The goal of learning instruments and starting a band is that the band can someday get booked to play an important show -- that one big gig. It's about working towards completing a dream and striving to perfect one's skills. All of these skills, are found on the band's setlist.
