PROGRAM OBJECTIVE~Provide evidence-based clinically competent care. PROGRESS TOWARD OBJECTIVE: During the sophomore I semester I was able to complete a clinical rotation at a long term care facility. Five hours a day two times a week were spent in the long term care facility taking care of my assigned patient as well as assisting with the other residents as needed. I was able to assist the residents with completion of ADLs, I was also able to follow the nursing staff to see the daily medication delivery process. I was able to learn how to complete basic care for a client who is unable to provide completely for themselves.Anatomy and Physiology as well as Pathophysiology have provided me with the background and knowledge to provide excellent evidence-based clinically competent care.
