There are approximately 3,510 students and 229 full and part-time faculty. The student to faculty ratio is 14:1. This intimate setting provides students the ability to work closely with professors and an opportunity for individual attention. PLU's standard of performance demands a finely trained faculty, able to offer essential qualities such as leadership and distinction to their teaching. All classes are taught by faculty members, not teaching assistants.
