Nursing Process

Program Objective

Apply the nursing process in the provision of direct and indirect care of individuals, families, and communities in a variety of settings and across diverse populations.




Its All about Process

  The nursing process is a process by which nurses deliver care to patients, supported by nursing models or philosophies. There are five steps in the nursing process. These steps include:  Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning outcomes and interventions, Implementation, and Evaluation.

Nursing 270 - Health Assessment & Health Promotion

After being introduced to the concept of the nursing process in Nursing 220, this was our first opportunity to put it into practice with and actual client.  The learning has been facilitated with the use of vignettes discussed in class and the assignment of a community client.
