In my Freshman Business Inquiry class I was able to utilize and perfect my communication skills. Throughout the course, we did many different projects which helped me to develop these skills. During our business plan presentation I was able to practice using correct grammar and syntax when speaking while also maintaining and using a professional vocabulary. I also was able to work on my persuasive skills by trying to encourage the class to invest in my group's business, The Tea Spot. In addition, we also learned how to discuss the plans which go into forming a business, I was also able to use presentation tools appropriately and effectively. My group created a power point slide show to enhance our business plan and to create a stronger presentation, as a way to persuade investors better.
I was also able to practice my communication skills through out the class by taking part in class discussions about the current economic environment and the effects the decisions of the past are having on our future. Also during class discussions I was able to ask questions to help further my understanding of the different topics we learned about through out the course.
