About Pacific Lutheran University

Campus Pictures

Pacific Lutheran University is a private University of the New American College model, blending liberal arts and professional studies. This beautiful park-like campus is located in a quiet setting in suburban Tacoma, Washington, 10 miles east of Puget Sound and 40 miles south of Seattle.

For student recreational opportunities in the summer, PLU is home to exception facilities for swimming, golfing, weight training, tennis, basketball, volleyball, handball, racquetball, and squash. For academics, PLU's modern library, the Robert L. Mortvedt Library, is a fantastic resource for volumes of books, references, current newspapers, digital and analog media, and a myriad of other materials.
