Self AssessingAs a freshman, I have handled the transition of being on my own very well. I find myself relying more on what I need to do rather than what others and my parents need to do for me. With regards to school, college has been somewhat of a challenge, but I have taken each course in stride. Knowing that school wouldn't be easy, it was up to me to put in the time to earn the grade that I wanted. Despite putting hours into preparing for tests, I have found that some results weren't what I had imagined, but others were exactly what I expected. Even though I didn't get the grade that I wanted on certain assignments of certain courses, I can't be discouraged because in the long run, the high amount of effort that I put in to each assignment will pay its toll. With regards to my major, I have done everything that I can to put myself into the position of entering the School of Business here at Pacific Lutheran University as quickly as I can. This offers me the chance to obtain more scholarship money as well as the ability to declare my major as soon as possible. I have scheduled courses accordingly, and I expect to apply to the School of Business at the end of Fall Semester 2008.
