Lakia ArceneauxMy Name is Lakia Arcenaux and I am a sophomore planning to declare a major in Business Administration with a concentration of Human Resources. I intend on graduating with this degree spring of 2011. I have decided to take on the challenge of concentrating on a business degree because this is something that really sparks my attention, fits me fairly well, and it comes very natural to grasp and understanding on the concepts more than any other subject. In my business 201 the information was very interesting to me and the reading captured me so much that I continually read more thirsting on more information of gather a very extensive knowledge on the concepts we were learning.The Human Resources concentration came about because I enjoy working with people and coming to the aid of someone or a group. I have always had a very caring heart as well as enjoying to be in a leadership position. Those in a human resource position work a lot with people and are introduced to a plethora of personalities a day and that really interests me. Understanding more of human resources in a business environment I believe that my interests in human resources will grow as well. More on my personality and how it reflects on those around me, I believe it is very positive. I am always striving to do my best while keeping a great attitude about things. I like to see my teammates prosper as I do and this mentality came from the several sports that I have participated from the age of five and currently while I am a student at Pacific Lutheran University. More so i really enjoy the use of teamwork because when you are in a team I believe it brings a new dynamic to the activity that you are doing with the several different personalities and cultural backgrounds different and it seems that everything gets done better with someone helping you instead of trying to do everything yourself. |
