Demonstrating and Articulating My AchievementsWelcome to this portion of my portfolio, I will explain several of my
achievements that are a combination of athletic, academic and social
achievements. One of my most memorable achievements in life is when I
accepted the key to the city of Puyallup for saving the life of one of
my classmates in the eighth grade. As high school approached I was
very proactive and involved in several activities and it paid off very
well. As the youngest player on the basketball team in high school I
help carry my team to league, which was the first time in many years.
My senior year in high school several accomplishments had been made. I
started off my being the first African-American student to run of Miss
Daffodil and I was a part of the womens 4x4 team that attended the
state track meet in Pasco, Washington. While attending PLU my freshman
year I made it on the Dean's list and that showed to me how my hard
work throughout the semester really paid off. The same year semester I
received second place at our Conference Championship for the 400 meter
relay and third in both the 100 meter and 200 meter. As my track career
has launched off very well this current semester of spring 2009 I have
received Northwest Conference Athlete of the week, which is a great
honor, knowing how many spectacular athletes are in our conference. |
