Sumerlin is originally from Kennewick,
Washington, but now resides in Parkland. She graduated from PLU in 2001
with a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science and Communication with an
emphasis in Public Relations. Sumerlin is the Associate Director of
Constituent Relations where you will find her coordinating events or extending
hospitality and programming for PLU’s congregations, friends and donors.
Sumerlin is studying to obtain her Masters in Business Administration
which she will complete this spring. When she is not working or studying,
Sumerlin teaches and takes classes at the Lenderman Academy of Martial Arts.
