Wild Hope Lecture: Sister Helen Prejean

Sister Helen Prejean wrote the best seller book Dead Man Walking: An Eye Witness Account of the Death Penalty in the United States, which later became an Oscar winning movie, and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

Songfest: "Stay Classy, PLU!"

Residence halls pair up to compete in this lip-sync competition to earn hall points for the week. Make sure you stick around to see your faculty and staff members share their own performance talents with their entry that concludes the night.

Lute Loop
8:30 am, Anderson Clock Tower, $10

Join the PLU community in a 5k fun run around campus! Receive a commemorative water bottle.

Homecoming Lute Fest
8:30 am – 12 pm, University Center

Throughout the morning enjoy a festival-like atmosphere with performances by Hermonic (women's a cappella group), Parkland Youth Symphony and the Hawaii Club.

Homecoming Football Game
BUS will depart at 11am

There will be a bus departing from the front of Harstad at 11 am. Cost is $1. Look for the ASPLU table at dinner in the UC during the week of homecoming to reserve your spot on the bus. If you wear your ASPLU Trucker hat, you get your dollar back.

Volunteer at the Community Garden
1pm – 3pm, Community Garden, Across the Street from Ordal Hall

Join Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award winner and Community Garden Founder Brian Norman '99 and current students work in PLU’s Community Garden.

Archives Open House
2 pm – 5 pm 3rd floor, Mortvedt Library

Explore PLU's vast collection with University Archivist Kris Ringdahl '82.

Homecoming Dance: "Stay Classy" Black and Gold Homecoming Ball
8:30 pm, Tacoma Art Museum, $15 in advance, $25 at the door
Advance tickets are available from Wednesday September, 23 through Saturday October 3 at 7pm.
