Why Nursing?I am passionate about nursing. My passion can best be explained as a feeling of intuition and excitement. I have an innate feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment when I learn new nursing skills and apply them to my overall journey as a student. I am among the few and fortunate who were born simply knowing my life's calling and loving every minute of it. I could not ask for a more memorable, challenging, or special time in my life than my tenure as a student, and I imagine serving as a professional nurse will only add to the list of pure enjoyment I feel from this experience. |

My Road Trip to Nursing Town Professional GoalsI made the choice recently to join the ROTC program at Pacific Lutheran University because I not only wanted to be a nurse, I also wanted to serve in the Armed Forces. Therefore, some of my professional future is already predetermined. I know I will serve in a military hospital, and I know I will mostly be caring for veterans and their families. However, something that is not as predictable, and of specific interest to me is to work in an Intensive Care Unit. More specifically, I recently became interested in specializing in cardiovascular intensive care. |
ResourcesTranscripts (will add Senior Year once most courses have been completed) References (will add once I obtain them) Letters of Recommendation (Will add soon) General InformationI was born and raised in Park City, Utah, which I still hold close to my heart as home. I have lived in the Seattle/Tacoma area however for the last eight years, as I had been stationed here with the Air Force until recently when I decided to separate and go to nursing school. I was blessed with a close and loving family, which is where I draw my biggest support from. My other passion besides nursing is traveling, which I try to do as much as possible. I am also an animal lover, who will undoubtedly spend my life caring for them as well. |
