How to Avoid a Ticket

Common Causes of Tickets

AND HOW TO AVOID THEM

Missing Decal
    Forget to switch your decal from one car to another?
    Pick up a Day Pass from the Campus Safety Office located in
    the basement of Harstad.

Fallen Decal
    Decal loosing it's stickiness?
    Simply rub the decal on a pair of jeans.

Can't Access the Tingelstad Gate
    ID Card isn't working? Can't get into the Tingelstad Gated lot?
    Call Campus Safety (x7441) and ask an Officer to let you in.

Wrong Location of Decal
    Check to make sure that your decal is located in the front
    windshield on the lower left hand (driver) side in plain view.

Decal Cannot be Seen
    If you have tinted windows, ensure that your decal is able to be
    read from the outside.

Unloading Heavy Items
    Need to unload heavy items from your car?
    Call Campus Safety (x7441) and they will admit you into the
    gates.

Parked in Wrong Lot
    Don't know which lots you can park in?
    Refer to the Parking Website at:
    http://www.plu.edu/campussafety/parking/home.html

Car Died
    Car died over the weekend in a space it can't be parked in?
    Call Campus Safety for assistance.

Wrong Decal Issued
    When you pick up your decal from the Campus Safety Office,
    check to make sure you are receiving the decal you
    ordered.
