Grossklaus Leads Lutes at Tacoma Invitational
Results
Angela Grossklaus placed fifth overall with a 36-hole total of
175 to lead Pacific Lutheran's efforts at the Tacoma Invitational
women's golf tournament held April 5-6 at Fort Lewis Golf Course.
The Lutes finished the two-day tournament with a team score of
396-399 - 795, last in the four-team field. George Fox rallied from
five strokes off the pace after the first day to take first place
with a 364-347 - 711. The Bruins nipped Pacific, which scored 363-349
- 712. First-day leader Puget Sound slipped the second day and finished
with a 359 - 373 - 732 for third place.
Medalist honors went to Brittany Zefkeles from George Fox. She
fired rounds of 88 and 84 for a two-day total of 172, two strokes
better than teammate Brianna Nap and Pacific's Kelly Hartley.
