Three Lutes Named to NSCAA All-West Region Team

The postseason honors continue go accumulate for a trio of Pacific Lutheran men’s soccer players.

Junior forward Mike Ferguson (Sumner, Wash. / Auburn Riverside HS), junior defender Brian Lubeck (Glendale, Ariz. / Mountain Ridge HS) and freshman midfielder Baard Asker (Oslo, Norway / Wang) have all received 2006 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division III All-Far West Region recognition.

Ferguson, who led the Lutes with 11 goals and tied for the team lead with 24 points, joins central defender Lubeck on the all-region second team. Asker, who finished second on the PLU team with 10 goals and who tied Ferguson for the team scoring lead with 24 points, was a third team choice.

All three players earned first team All-Northwest Conference honors after helping the Lutes to a 12-6-1 overall record and a 9-4-1 conference mark and third-place finish.
