MEN’S TENNIS: Miller Named NWC Player
of the Week
For the second time this season, Pacific Lutheran's David Miller
has earned Northwest Conference Player of the Week honors.
Miller helped the Lutes win a pair of conference matches last Saturday
to finish off the regular season. He won both of his singles matches
in straight sets and teamed with Justin Larimore for two doubles
wins. Miller is 16-3 in singles and 13-5 in doubles this season.
The senior out of Auburn Riverside High School leads the Lutes
into this weekend's Northwest Conference Championships at the Yakima
Tennis Center. The Lutes enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed
and will meet the winner of the Whitworth versus Willamette first-round
match in the conference semifinals. Pacific Lutheran is the two-time
defending conference champion, but Whitman, unbeaten in conference
matches this year, is the top seed and favored to win the tournament.
