MEN’S TENNIS: Five Lutes Selected
to All-NWC Teams
Following a season in which Pacific Lutheran won the Northwest
Conference tournament championship after finishing second during
the regular season, a total of five Pacific Lutheran players have
earned All-Northwest Conference recognition.
Seniors David Miller and Jeff Loranger and freshman Kevin Floyd
all were named to the first team, while junior Justin Larimore and
freshman Kevin Peterson were second team picks.
Miller is a repeat first team selection after earning second team
honors in 2005. He has compiled an 18-3 singles record this season,
all at No. 1, and joined with Larimore to compile a 13-5 mark at
No. 1 doubles.
The other four Lutes received their first all-conference recognition
this season. Floyd is 9-10 in singles, with all but three of those
matches coming at the No. 2 spot. Playing with four different partners,
he compiled a 13-8 doubles record. Loranger is 13-6 in single, most
of that at No. 3, and he joined Peterson to go 13-8 in doubles,
most of that at No. 2. Larimore is 12-6 and Peterson 12-10 in singles
play this season.
