PLU Softball Recruiting Class
Eryn Beal, a junior outfielder, earned NWAACC
second team Eastern Region and team Co-MVP recognition at Yakima
Valley College. Beal graduated from Sumner High School, where she
earned second team All-South Puget Sound League honors.
Jordan Panian, a freshman outfielder from Tahoma
High School, earned 2007 first team all-state and All-SPSL honors.
Brittney Weissenbuehler, a freshman infielder
from Gresham High School in Gresham, Ore., earned second team all-league
honors in addition to being a two-time scholar-athlete and her team’s
most inspirational player in 2007.
Allysha Clark, a freshman infielder and catcher
from Puyallup’s Cascade Christian High School, was a first
team All-Nisqually League catcher and a Scholastic Athlete of the
Year Award recipient in 2007.
Beth Haahr, a freshman infielder from Puyallup’s
Rogers High School, earned first team All-SPSL honors in 2007.
Chantell Winter, a freshman pitcher from Orting
High School, earned first team all-league honors as a senior.
“The coaching staff is very excited to see the impact that
the incoming recruiting class of transfers and freshman will have
in 2008,” Noren said. “We anticipate a tremendous amount
of competition for playing time and look forward to improving upon
last year's record and conference finish. The Northwest Conference
is one of the most challenging in Division III and we look forward
to the challenge that it presents on a weekly basis.”
Pacific Lutheran finished the 2007 season with a 17-18 overall
record and placed sixth in the Northwest Conference with an 11-17
mark.
