SWIMMING: Lutes Back in Action After Long
Break
THIS WEEK: PLU travels to Portland, Ore. to face
Lewis & Clark at 6 p.m. Friday; PLU hosts Willamette at 1 p.m.
Saturday.
HUNGRY FOR COMPETITION: The Lutes will hit the
pool this weekend rested and hungry for action. This will be the
first meet for the swim team in six weeks. Since returning from
the winter break, the Lutes have been practicing for a week.
THE OPPOSITION: The Lutes will face a pair of
NWC foes this week and the outcome will be important to the conference
standings. PLU’s men’s and women’s team are both
2-1 this season, while both Willamette Bearcats squads are winless
this season. Lewis & Clark should give PLU a fight, with the
men’s squad 2-3 overall and the women’s at 4-1.
CHANGE OF LOCATION: The meet this Saturday against
Willamette was scheduled to be at Willamette, but due to technical
problems with their pool the meet was made a home meet, giving the
Lute faithful a chance to see their swimmers in action.
