Dec. 1, 2006 Lutes Win 400 Yard Medley Relay in Day One Action From the NWC Invitational
The Northwest Invitational got off to a good start today at the Pacific Lutheran University swimming pool. The PLU swim team came away with one individual victory as well as a win in the relays. Freshman Mica Bailey won the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 25.84 for the Lutes only individual victory during the first night of the invitational. The time was only two-tenths of a second off her season best of 25.64. The other PLU victory came in the last event as the Men’s 400 yard medley relay won in a time of 3:48.42. The Lutes edged out Whitman College by .15 seconds. The Northwest Invitational will continue tomorrow at 10 a.m. and wrap up with a final session at 6 p.m. - PLU -
