SWIMMING: Lutes Break for Christmas, Then
Off to California
THIS WEEK: Pacific Lutheran has time off for
Christmas break before returning to action on Wednesday, Jan. 2,
at the CLU Winter Invitational in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
TIME OFF, THEN BACK TO WORK: The PLU swim team
returns to action early in the new year when they compete against
four other teams in the 2008 CLU Winter Invitational hosted by California
Lutheran University. Joining the Lutes at the invitational will
be UC Santa Cruz, Whitworth, Fresno Pacific and host Cal Lutheran.
The one-day meet gets underway at 9 a.m. There will be 16 events,
including diving and only two relays, in both the men’s and
women’s divisions.
HOME DUALS COMING UP: Following the CLU Winter
Invitational, the Lutes will conclude their regular season schedule
with four home duals. They host College of Idaho on Jan. 12, Lewis
& Clark on Jan. 18, Whitworth on Jan. 19, and Willamette on
Jan. 26. The Lutes will serve as the host school for the Northwest
Conference Championships scheduled fro Feb. 8-10 at the King County
Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
