April 11, 2007 Lewis Finishes 12th in NWC Heptathlon SALEM, ORE – Pacific Lutheran junior Rebecca Lewis improved her previous best score by 233 points but still finished last out of 12 athletes at the Northwest Conference multi-event championships hosted by Willamette University. Lewis came into the meet with a best of 2,266 points and scored 2,499 in this event. Her highlight came when she leaped 15-11 3/4 in the long jump to qualify for the conference meet in that event. Pacific's Brooke Barker won the heptathlon title with a score of 4,196 points. In the decathlon, Ryan Forbes of George Fox scored 5,454 to take the championship. PLU's Jeff Rockenbrandt was injured in the first event and did not finish the meet. - PLU -
