March 25, 2008 Arceneaux Finishes 7th at Linfield Multi-Events Meet First Day
Results McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Pacific Lutheran freshman Lakie Arceneaux placed seventh in the heptathlon at the Linfield Decathlon-Heptathlon meet held Monday and Tuesday, March 24-25. Arceneaux, making her collegiate heptathlon debut, finished with 3,404 points, good for seventh place among 16 competitors. Her best point totals came in the 200 meters where she clocked 26.40 to score 763 points, and in the long jump where leaped 16-3 1/4 to score 548 points. Eastern Oregon’s Katie Gillespie won the heptathlon with a scored of 4,342. In the decathlon competition, junior Nolan Adams scored 4,518 points to place 14th and junior Jeffery Rockenbrandt scored 4,346 to finish 15th out of 16 competitors. Lucas Ohmes of Eastern Oregon won the decathlon with a score of 6,436. - PLU -
