April 8, 2008 Arceneaux finishes 12th in NWC Heptathlon
NEWBERG, Ore. - Pacific Lutheran freshman Lakia Arceneaux placed 12th in the heptathlon at the Northwest Conference Multi-Event Championships at George Fox University. PLU's entrants in the decathlon, Nolan Adams and Jeffery Rockenbrant, brought up the rear. Arceneaux compiled 3,169 points in the seven-event heptathlon, more than 200 points below her career-best 3,404 points scored at the Linfield Multis in early March. Puget Sound's Caitlin McGrane beat 14 other competitors to win the NWC heptathlon title with a score of 4,295. In the decathlon, junior Nolan Adams placed 15th with 4,476 points and Jeffery Rockenbrant finished 16th with 4,354 points in the 16-competitor field. George Fox's Ben Dillow won the NWC decathlon title with 6,716 points. - PLU -
