Di Maggio, Matz Earn All-Tournament Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. – For the second straight weekend,
junior setter Gina Di Maggio and junior outside hitter Stacie
Matz earned all-tournament honors. The Pacific Lutheran duo received
the recognition as the Lutes placed third at the 2006 Molten Volleyball/Wyndham
Hotel CC Invitational.
A week ago, Di Maggio and Matz were named to the UPS Invitational
all-tournament squad.
After winning both of their matches on Friday, the Lutes lost
to Linfield and Colorado College in Saturday action. PLU, now
5-4 for the season, finished third in the five-team tournament.
Linfield won the team title with a 4-0 record. Colorado College
(6-2) took second place with a 30-25, 24-30, 30-18, 30-28 victory
over Pacific Lutheran in the tournament finale.
