Lutes Defeat Lewis & Clark in Three
Games

PORTLAND, OR – Pacific Lutheran finished the first weekend
of Northwest Conference volleyball action with a 2-0 record after
routing Lewis & Clark, 30-28, 30-13, 30-18, on Saturday night.
The Lutes, who improved their season record to 7-4, had little
trouble with the host Pioneers after struggling to win the first
game. Katie McGinn and Kelcy Joynt both finished with 14 kills,
and Joynt was especially impressive with a .565 kill percentage.
Setter Gina Di Maggio had 41 assists and defensive specialist
Megan Kosel added 18 digs in the victory.
Pacific Lutheran hit .297 as a team and limited the Pioneers
to a negative attack percentage in the final two games.
