Pacific Lutheran Still Ranked No. 25 in
d3hoops.com Women’s Poll
Despite a convincing 64-41 win over Concordia of Portland, Pacific
Lutheran has remained in the all-too-familiar No. 25 ranking in
the d3hoops.com national poll.
The Lutes, 7-3, received 62 points in the poll of 25 coaches, sports
information directors and media members from across the country.
PLU had been ranked as high as No. 16 in the poll this year, but
the Lutes have held the No. 25 spot for three of the five weeks
this season, including the last two weeks.
Last weekend the Lutes were set to host the PLU classic including
George Fox, Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and Thompson Rivers (Canada). Due
to complications in travel the Wisconsin-Oshkosh team was unable
to participate in the tourney, so the Lutes only recorded a 57-40
exhibition win over Thompson Rivers.
PLU will host the Puget Sound Loggers tonight in a Northwest Conference
match. After the Lutes were ranked No. 25 in the nation in week
two, it was UPS which took the No. 25 spot in week three, only to
have it taken back by PLU. Tip off for tonight’s game is set
for 6 p.m. in Olson Auditorium.
