Despite Loss, Lutes Move Up One Spot in
d3hoops.com Poll
Despite splitting a pair of Northwest Conference games last week,
Pacific Lutheran moved up one spot to No. 24 in this week’s
d3hoops.com
Division III Top 25 women’s basketball national poll.
The Lutes had held down the No. 25 spot for two consecutive weeks
before losing at home to Puget Sound (56-53) and beating Lewis &
Clark on the road (58-56). Nonetheless, PLU moved up, with Puget
Sound taking over the No. 25 spot.
Pacific Lutheran, 8-4, is the only team ranked among the top 25
that has four losses. Three schools, including 10-3 Puget Sound,
have three losses.
The Lutes are currently tied with Puget Sound, Whitman, Whitworth
and George Fox for the Northwest Conference lead, all with 3-1 records.
PLU returns to action this weekend with Northwest Conference games
against Whitman in Walla Walla on Friday and versus Whitworth in
Spokane on Saturday.
