Pacific Lutheran Women Ranked 16th in D3hoops.com
Preseason Top 25
D3hoops.com Preseason Poll
Pacific Lutheran, chosen by the Northwest Conference coaches to
successfully defend its conference women’s basketball title,
is ranked No. 16 in the D3hoops.com Preseason Top 25 poll.
The Lutes, who finished the 2005-06 season with a 24-4 record,
received 221 points in the preseason voting. The only other Northwest
Conference school ranked in the Top 25 is Puget Sound, which holds
down the No. 25 spot.
Scranton (Penn.), which reached the Division III final four last
year, is ranked No. 1 with 15 of the 25 first-place votes and a
total of 612 points. Defending champion Hope (Mich.) is ranked No.
4 and received seven first-place votes.
The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports
information directors and media members from throughout the country
and is published weekly.
