LUTES WIN TWO IN OREGON: Jenny McKinsey scored
her eighth goal of the season with 27 seconds remaining in the

in Portland. McKinsey scored on a header from a cross served up
by another PLU freshman midfielder, Jill
Trumbull (Snohomish, Wash. / Snohomish HS). The following
day in Forest Grove, Ore., the Lutes won their fourth straight
Northwest Conference contest, defeating the host Pacific Boxers,
2-0. Pacific Lutheran’s first goal came on a penalty kick

shutout wins last weekend. Roeder and her defensive teammates
limited Lewis & Clark and Pacific to just 13 shots in 199
minutes of action. The shutouts were the third and fourth in a
row in conference play for the Lutes, who now have 10 for the
season.
