Vanden Bos (Issaquah, Wash. / Liberty HS) and freshman
midfielder Jenny
McKinsey (Greenacres, Wash. / West Valley HS) have
earned 2006 All-Northwest Conference women’s soccer second
team honors as announced today.
Vanden Bos started all 20 games this season and helped the Lutes
to an 8-6-2 record and a fifth-place finish in the conference.
The Lutes finished the season with an 11-7-2 overall record. McKinsey
led the Lutes in scoring this season with nine total goals. She
finished fifth in conference goal scoring with seven goals coming
in NWC matches.
Two other Lutes received honorable mention recognition in the
conference coaches’ voting: senior defense Nicole
Roeder (Renton, Wash. / Tahoma HS) and junior defender
Brittney Beitel
(Puyallup, Wash. / Emerald Ridge HS, University of Idaho).
