Fleury Steps Down As PLU Women’s
Soccer Coach
Jerrod Fleury has stepped down after five seasons as women’s
soccer head coach at Pacific Lutheran University.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to have served as the
women’s soccer coach at Pacific Lutheran University the
past five years. I definitely feel that PLU women’s soccer
has made some positive strides during this time,” Fleury
stated in his resignation letter.
The Lutes posted an 11-7-2 record in 2006 and a 47-43-7 record
during his tenure.
“The women’s soccer program has a rich tradition
and we are grateful for the contributions Jerrod has made,”
said athletic director Laurie Turner.
“As we do anytime there is a coaching change, we will evaluate
the position and responsibilities over the next week,” Turner
added. “Then we will move forward on advertising and filling
the position within the University’s time frame.”
