Lutes Open 2007 With a 9-0 Romp Over Pacific
FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Pacific Lutheran opened its 2007 women's tennis
season with a 9-0 Northwest Conference victory over the Pacific
Boxers on Friday afternoon.
The Lutes, who return most of the top players from the team that
finished second in the Northwest Conference tournament a year ago,
took advantage of an inexperienced and overmatched Pacific team
to win every singles match in straight sets. In the six matches,
the Lutes lost only 15 total games.
The Lutes return to action at 10 a.m. Saturday when they play the
Lewis & Clark Pioneers in Portland.
