Lutes Fall to Loggers in Conference Match
TACOMA, Wash. - Pacific Lutheran saw its three-match winning streak
ended on Sunday as the Puget Sound Loggers garnered a 6-3 Northwest
Conference victory at the UPS Tennis Pavilion.
Lute junior Erika Feltus remained unbeaten this season in both
singles and doubles play. She defeated Courtney Dunham, 6-4, 4-6,
(10-4), at No. 1 singles and teamed with Nicole Petrzelka to beat
Dunham and Alyssa Sidoff, 8-3, at No. 1 doubles.
The only other PLU player to win a match was freshman Ashley Coats,
who defeated Sam Taylor, 7-6, 6-1, at No. 5 singles.
Pacific Lutheran returns to action on Saturday, March 3, when it
hots Whitworth in a conference match scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
The match could be moved to an indoor location in case of inclement
weather.
