Lutes Finish Regular Season with 9-0 Win
Over George Fox
PARKLAND, Wash. – Pacific Lutheran closed out the regular
season with a 9-0 Northwest Conference women’s tennis victory
over the George Fox Bruins on Saturday night at Sprinker Recreation
Center.
With the victory, the Lutes improve to 13-5 overall and finish
the conference season with an 11-5 record. George Fox ends its season
with a 1-16 overall record, including a 1-15 mark against conference
opponents.
The next action for the Lutes will come Friday and Saturday, April
20-21, at the Northwest Conference Championships in Yakima. The
Lutes will be the No. 4 seed in the tournament based on their regular
season finish. George Fox did not qualify for the six-team tournament.
The Lutes won all three doubles matches and took five of the six
singles competitions in straight sets.
