Feb. 22, 2008 Lutes Handle George Fox, 8-1 BEAVERTON, Ore. - Pacific Lutheran improved its Northwest Conference women's tennis record to 2-1 with an easy 8-1 victory over the George Fox Bruins on Friday afternoon. The match was played at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center. The Lutes picked up three wins in doubles to get off to a strong start and swept the first five singles matches. All five of those matches were decided in straight sets and the Lutes dropped only 15 games during those 10 total sets. PLU's only loss came at No. 6 singles. PLU returns to action at noon on Sunday when it plays at Puget Sound in the Logger's UPS Tennis Pavilion. - PLU -
