March 28, 2008 Pacific Lutheran Beats George Fox for Third Straight Win TACOMA – Pacific Lutheran won its third straight match and improved its season record to 7-7 with a 6-3 Northwest Conference women's tennis victory over the visiting George Fox Bruins on Saturday night at the UPS Tennis Pavilion. PLU won the final two of its matches on a spring break trip to California and the team maintained that momentum against the Bruins. The Lutes started with wins from the doubles teams of Erika Feltus and Ashley Coats at No. 1 and Liz Currey and Ashley Brooks at No. 2. In singles play, the Lutes got wins from Feltus, Currey, Coats and Brooks at the top four spots, with all of the victories coming in straight sets. PLU, 5-6 in conference matches returns to action at noon on Sunday when it plays the Puget Sound Loggers in NWC action at the UPS Tennis Pavilion. - PLU -
