Gogert Earns All-Region Honors
 |
| Corinne Gogert |
Standout freshman Corrine
Gogert was named to the 2007 Division III Women’s
All-West Region Cross Country Team today. Gogert earned the honor
by placing 32nd in the 114 athlete field at the West Region meet
last weekend at McIver Park.
The All-Region nod caps off a phenomenal freshman year for the
Arlington native. Gogert was the top finisher for the Lutes at six
of the eight meets this year. Gogert set a new school record for
the 6k at the PLU Invitational when she ran 22:36, only to break
it again two weeks later at the Beaver Classic when she ran 22:35.
This is the first All-Region honors for a PLU harrier since the
2004 season when Bethany De Vilbiss and Ashley Jamieson both made
the team by placing 3rd and 14th respectively.
All-Region honors are given to an athlete who finishes in the top
35 at their respective regional meet.
