Ben Crabtree, Assistant Coach

Ben Crabtree is in his first season as Pacific Lutheran University’s men's and women's cross country assistant coach.

This is Crabtree's first college coaching position.

Prior to coming to PLU Crabtree had a successful college running career at NCAA Division II Wayne State College in Nebraska. Crabtree was part of two conference championship track and field teams. Individually he was runner up at the conference meet in both the 5k and 10k his senior year.

While his track career was very successful Crabtree’s time spent on the cross country team at Wayne State is also notable. His first year at Wayne State the cross country team finished last in the conference. Over the next three years Crabtree helped elevate the level of competitiveness on the team until his senior year when they took the conference title.

Crabtree currently lives in North Tacoma with his wife Erin and works at South Sound Running, Tacoma’s specialty running store.
