About Me

About Me

me with my brother and sister

Before PLU

I was born and raised in Gig Harbor, WA where I graduated from Gig Harbor High School in 2004.  After graduation i moved to Bellingham and started college at Western Washington University.  My original intent was to major in environmental sciences and journalism, but after my first year, I realized my interest in business.  I transferred to Pacific Lutheran University after my second year at Western and started classes through the School of Business.

My family and friends have always come first in my life, and  Iwould not be where I am today without them.  My parents Robert and Wendy have always encouraged and supported me in my decisions and I am grateful to have such care.  My brother and sister, Lindsey and Drew, are my best friends, I don't know what I would do with out them.  My friends are my energy and motivation to succeed.  I am so grateful to have such great people in my life, and i owe my experiences, growth, and achievements to them.

My Stronger Points

I love meeting new people, and working in teams.  I find myself to have strong interpersonal skills. I think i work well in teams and find i often take on leadership role.  I enjoy and find myself good at planning, organizing, and using my creativity in my work.  I also believe I posses good critical thinking skills.  I enjoy taking on challenges and finding ways to solve them.  I am very dedicated to the projects and tasks i take on.  I am currently on the PLU Relay For Life Committee, where as food chair I will be in charge of finding sponsors who will supply meal, snacks, and drinks for the event.

Opportunities, Challenges, and Goals

As a reflection of the skills and tools I gained in the business department at PLU, I feel I am as prepared as I can be to enter into the business market.  By getting my degree in Human Resource Management, and now working at Golden State Foods as and HR intern, I think I am on the right track to someday being an effective and successful HR manager.
