Marketing Project Spring 2007 I took my first marketing class at PLU, where I had the opportunity to work with a team to write our final paper. Before entering into the business department at PLU I really had not had much experience working in teams, besides in sports. I realize now how essential teamwork is in today's business world, and I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given in the various business classes I have taken. I chose this marketing project to discuss team effectiveness because this is one instance where I worked with people I did not know, and was challenged with our different perspectives. Teamwork has been a part of each and every business class I have taken at PLU. From daily problem solving, to group papers and presentations, I have worked with a team on a daily basis. My work experience has also given me team experience. I have worked as a barista since I was sixteen, which has not only helped build my communication skills, but helped me learn the effectiveness of working together. |
