Meet Me

Kite I am currently a Sophomore II pursuing a BSN. I choose nursing after a personal medical experience that opened my eyes to the world of nursing. I am so thankful to wake up every morning and be excited to go to school. If I am not in class or studying you can find me on the water. I am usually behind a boat wakeboarding or behind a kite trying to kiteboard. Also I love spending my free time with my family and cooking yummy things.

PLU BSN Program Objectives

1. Demonstrate the ability to incorporate the dimensions of person, nursing, and environment to promote health in a variety of nursing situations.

2. Provide evidence-based clinically competent care.

3. Enact role of service as a professionally educated member of society.

4. Apply the nursing process in the provision of direct and indirect care of individuals, families, and communities in a variety of settings and across diverse populations.

5. Collaborate in the design, management, and coordination of care.

6. Assume responsibility and accountability for professional practice.

7. Participate in processes that influence the health care delivery system

My Definition of Nursing

A holistic approach to care. Care that involves the mind, body, and spirit. Each decision made is client focused and honors the clients autonomy. The nurses role is to support the client in health promotion, prevention, and treatment. In order to promote the wellness and health of the client.
