| Beta Alpha Psi, the
national honor fraternity for financial information professionals,
dates back to 1919 when the Alpha Chapter formed at the University of
Illinois. Pacific Lutheran University is one of over 200 universities
throughout the United States that have an active Beta Alpha Psi
chapter. Delta Rho chapter was started in 1976. Changes in the national
bylaws during 1999 opened membership to declared Accounting, Finance
and Information Systems candidates.
"As the premier professional business information fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi recognizes academic excellence and complements members' formal education by providing interaction among students, faculty, and professionals, and fosters lifelong growth, service and ethical conduct." - Mission Statement, Article I, National Bylaws of Beta Alpha Psi Meetings are held on Thursdays at 7:00 PM in the Morken Center room 137.
