  »  »  About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Brian. I'm currently enrolled in the School of Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University. Before coming home to Washington I served as an infantry medic with the 82nd Airborne Division in North Carolina.

As a medic I was responsible for the health and welfare of a platoon of thirty-six soldiers. The impact of my experiences with them has led me to choosing nursing as my career choice.

I’m very close to my family and friends whom I cherish very much. I'm a first generation Filipino-American whose mother was a neo-natal nurse and father a gold miner. I have an older brother who is also in the military and a sister anxious to graduate high school.

Between studying and class I stay active by playing tennis, cycling, and ballroom dancing. I’m involved in the R.O.T.C. program on a full scholarship. I plan on commissioning back on active duty after graduating the School of Nursing and PLU.

The Finish Line

 »  »  Future Goals

Short Term

Within a year I would like to be involved once again in mentoring children in my community. I believe that children should have strong role models regardless of where they come from.

Long Term

My five year goal is to be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nursing Corps. I’d like to gain experience as a Flight Nurse on a MEDEVAC team.
