Think about it. Involvement When I was in high school, I turned out for the football team each fall. I was used to being involve, so I didn't really have to make the decisions of whether I would play or not. In my mind it was a given. I liked being involved with the other students of my high school, and I simply loved the game. AgonyI broke my wrist in three places on the opening kick-off of my senior season. At the time I figured it would be a minor set back, but it turned out worst than I anticipated. I figured I would be out maybe half the season before I could make my return. Little did I know that this was a season ending injury that I had to have immediate surgery for.LoyaltyEven after being put out for the season I continued to attend every practice and every game. I had a love for my team, so I could not abandon them because of an Injury. I stayed loyal to my team and therefore my team was loyal to me.InspireAt the end of the year, I was awarded most inspirational. I recieved the award because I always stuck with my team. I was always on the sideline cheering for them and trying to inspire them. As a result to my inspiration I was rewarded. This experience taught me to stick with what you love, never let it leave your side. |
