Just Thoughts.....

Trees Businesses are the heart of our
country. It can be cut throat and fast-paced, or it can be the place you look forward to in the morning.

   Our  moral  ethics drive who

we are, and how we are toward

others. But what about

business? You hear about

people who double cross their

partners for their own personal

gain. Each day we face moral dilemmas no matter how small they are there. Well what about at work? One

of your co-workers comes to you in confidence to confide that they are getting a second job and are going

to try and work both jobs without the boss knowing in order to work their way out of debt. What would you do?

Guidelines say that this affects the business and should be reported.  What if this person agrees to tell your

higher boss about their new job, but they are going to wait a week. Now what? Do you wait until they say

something, or do you betray their trust and tell? Policy states that it is best to inform a superior. There may not

be any confliction with your personal ethics, but what about your business ethics? Not telling puts you at risk

of receiving a disciplinary action.

The bottom line is, where do your business ethics lie? How cut throat do you want to be to get

where you want to go?
