Leadership

Leadership

Being in the School of Business, I have seen how leadership and working in groups correlates to the business world at large. In Business one has to learn to work together, without an agreement, business' will fail, projects will fall through and profits will be lost amongst the confusion and disagreements of the group.

Courses in Leadership

One class I was able to take at Pacific Lutheran University was Management in Sport and Recreation. The class gave more of an insight into what it takes to be an efficient leader, not just an effective one.

An Efficient Group!

Group

My role of being a leader has varied throughout the past four years at Pacific Lutheran University. There have been times when I have enacted upon being the leader and then there have been times when I have sat back and let another group member take charge. To me there is more to being a leader than just taking charge and implementing the plan of action to take. Leadership is hearing each person's opinion, ideas, worries, etc. within the group and finding a balance between to bring the group together. A good leader will enact on the change, allow each member to state what they want to say, and let each member use their own strengths to the achievements of the group.
