Goals and Plans for the Future

After graduation, I am going to work for Peterson Sullivan, an accounting firm in Seattle. I will start in their general practice doing both audit and tax work. I will also start preparing for the CPA exam. Someday, I will return to school to finish my master's degree. My career goal is to become a partner in an accounting firm. My life goal is to travel the world, meet new people, see more places and experience other cultures.

Sample Work

These are some samples of my work from the time of my high school graduation to the current. I hope that by reading them you can see my ability to communicate, use technology, work in teams, and think critically. I also hope that it demonstrates my improvement in these areas over time.

» Disney Finance Project
I completed this project in the spring of 2007 for my finance class. During this project, I not only learned a lot about finance and the operation of a business but I learned a lot about working with a group. We had some problems with scheduling group meetings and one team member did not do her part of the assignment. In the end we worked it out and I am really proud of this project because of the challenges we faced.

» Corporate Citizenship
This paper was written in the fall of 2007. I thought that I had pretty strong writing skills before I started this class but Prof. Robert Wells helped me to improve my writing substantially. This was one of the last papers I wrote for his class.

» My personal philosophy
I wrote this paper for Business Ethics at the beginning of Spring 2008. Our assignment was to identify were our "Personal Philosophy" came from.

» Television and its effects on Children
This paper was a part of my high school senior project. It is the oldest of all of these works so it should demonstrate how my writing has improved since coming to PLU.

» Sarbanes-Oxley
I used this paper as my final for my writing class with Prof. Robert Wells. Its topic is also a huge issue in the accounting world. It demonstrates both the improvement in my writing skills and my awareness of current issues in the accounting world.
