Work Experience I am currently employed at Pizza Schmizza, a pizza restaurant located in Hillsboro, OR. At this point it is only a seasonal job, because I am a full time student at PLU. This year I did not get a job while i was at school because I wanted to make sure school was a first and only priority. Next year i plan on working at an on campus location. In addition to working at Pizza Schmizza I work as a hostess for Businesses holiday parties (also a seasonal job). Last but not least I have worked on my family pumpkin farm and I have helped them with sells at the patch during the Halloween season. Volunteer Work I have spent a lot of time volunteering, this is one reason as to why I do not have more work experience, I was very busy in high school getting involved with my surrounding community. During high school I was a peer mentor, and leader of our community 101 project for my senior class. Community 101 is a project where the senior S.E.A.L class finds local non-profits that we would like to sponsor, and then we reward them with $5,000, that is granted from the company Portland General Electric. I also spent time volunteering with this organization call the M.S society, which is a non-profit business who's main goal is to help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Other than that I help deliver food baskets during Christmas to those who are on welfare, and right now I work with a non-profit here in Parkland called Mercy Housing where i tutor young children. |
